Discover Rome

The Tiber River runs through Rome and is also home to Sant’Angelo, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Rome.

Rome has two nicknames, the first, due to its geographic location, is the “City of Seven Hills”. The second is the “Eternal City”. Eternal City was because the ancient Romans believed that Rome would survive and continue no matter what happened around it and whatever empires rose and fell over time, Rome would continue to survive and be the “Eternal City”. Its suggested the first person to refer to it as the eternal city was the poet Tibullus, who referred to it as ‘Urbs Aeterna’.

Rome’s history covers an incredible 28 centuries and its said the Pantheon is the best preserved ancient monument and building and even now, it still looks incredible.
